HUNT (Human News Tracking)
The most important word in Human News Tracking is “Human”. For two important reasons. First, we track the news that humans read, watch and listen to. Pretty straight-forward, right? But the second reason is the kicker. The tracking is actually done by a human! Shocking, but true. Someone with a brain, judgment and a critical eye compiles each HUNT. It’s what makes our service unique – the human touch. Your hunt for the perfect “clipping” service is over.
Here’s how HUNT works:
- First, we’ll identify the keywords that will yield the results you’re looking for. Keywords are a work in progress, we’ll continue to refine, change and add them as necessary.
- We know that news isn’t just found on media websites anymore. We are currently searching blogs, news aggregation sites, opinion sites, social media sites (like MySpace) and other well trafficked sites such as YouTube for the stories you want.
- A person then reads each story to determine the validity – leading to more precise results. If we’re not sure a story is appropriate, we’ll ask. Or we’ll include it with a note about why.
- There are two ways we can deliver HUNT results.
- Full service – find all relevant mentions of the client, competitors, and or industry. Works best for clipping.
- Summary service – find the most important stories related to the client, competitors, and or industry. Works best for QNA – Quick Knowledge Accumulation.
- As a final product, you can choose a Word document or a custom blog populated with HUNT results. Either one is easy to read, understand and share.
All HUNT services are priced based on the estimated hours needed on a contracted frequency (weekly, monthly, etc.)
